No, The Crazy Cajun does not sell chowder. They do however sell chicken and sausage gumbo, crawfish bisque, and crawfish and shrimp etouffe.
Yes, they are open
No. Crab legs aren't Cajun. They're Alaskan
I think the Crazy Cajun has them, too...their food is awesome!
There's plenty to choose from. It was my best meal in Gulf Shores by far! We'll go back every time I'm in town! Delicious! Friendly staff! Excellent place to go
The music & environment make you want to get up and dance!
I would say call ahead for that amount
Food was very good. Scout did a great job as our server. We will be going back while we are here.
Restaurant was amazing! Must try the fried shrimp and black eyed peas! Can’t go wrong with anything though. Loved this place.
Service was excellent and food was fresh and seasoned. The wait wasn’t long and the food was well priced. By for one of the under rated restaurant in gulf shores. Will be going back.
Not much variety on choices, especially for kids. Kids meals are $8 each and they don’t receive much portions. We got there 8:45 and 10 was their closing time and they sat us near restroom, pretty forgotten about. I ordered the boiled shrimp, they were bland and since I’m from Louisiana we eat ours with roumalade sauce. Their sauce tasted funny, but the waiter did go out of his way to make me some with the ingredients I told him to use, that was about the only thing I can say was good about this place. Guess I expected more.son ordered red beans and rice, ate it within 5 min and was looking for more. Their smashed potatoes wasn’t up to par, bland.
This place is fabulous. Our server, Erica, was awesome. The food was so amazing. I had best of both worlds and my food was cooked perfect. I highly recommend this location for a great meal. Friendly greeting.
Wonderful staff, we had many terrible experiences in this area and Crazy Cajun really came through. Good sized portions, drinks were excellent, we had a little issue with an order and they were extremely fast in making it right. Next time I'm in town, definitely will eat here again.
Crazy Cajun had very good shrimp. The staff was very, kind and there was fast customer service. I ordered the shrimp meal, which tasted pretty good. My only complaint is that there is not enough food for the price. Overall, I would recommend and come here again.
Loved the food , came fast and no problems. Love , love the staff , very sweet . Definitely coming back next tine i visit gulfshores.
Friendly restaurant (waitress was amazing and got a great tip) but food was NOT cajun at all. Just because you ad spice to a meal, doesn't make it cajun. The Gumbo, pass on it. Steak my niece had, too small. The burger my sister had, she was happy but it's a burger. You don't go to a place like this for a burger. No catfish (which still amazes me) so yeah. If you want a quick bite, here's your place. But don't be expecting great cuisine....not here.
Service was a little slow to get started but the food was wonderful the staff very friendly. Affordable. Fried crab legs very meaty and tender. Kinda spicy but it is Cajun so yeah. Great place. If I lived here I would be a regular.
Very good food, and a great value! Our son loves their shrimp bisque, and my husband and I both enjoyed the all you can eat fried/grilled/blackened shrimp (or fish). Definitely the best bang for your buck. And their thick cut curly fries are delicious as well!
We visited here while on vacation. The food was AMAZING and the service was wonderful! We loved it so much, we ate here twice in one week! Great place! We have recommended it to everyone!
Over priced...$8 for a kid's grilled cheese basket/meal. That was the smallest sandwich ever. The etouffee was okay definitely not $15 good. People really have to explain to staff the importance of properly wearing masks during COVID when dealing with people's food. Food runner on multiple occasions had her mask as a chin strap while breathing very heavily over the food tray of other's orders. I asked the waitress that they pay attention to that. I wasn't impressed enough to return again but our waitress worked hard.
Had the most amazing service from Christine. The brussel sprout appetizer was delicious. Had a terrible drinks though. ☹️ Christine was such an amazing waitress - I'd go back any day.
The food here is unbelievable, and the service is the same. We only did takeout but whoever took our order was as friendly and helpful as possible, and just as nice when we picked it up. The food though was just as much of a star. This place is obviously very well run. Next time we come down to the gulf there’s no doubt we will be here again, and we all agreed on that. The only problem is that we can’t eat here when we are back home. We ordered from another popular, not to be named seafood place the day before and it wasn’t even close to as good. If you want some seafood in gulf shores, crazy Cajun is without a doubt the place to go. Thank you staff for the wonderful experience.
Delicious food and great service. Our servers are always smiling and willing to offer helpful opinions when asked. The black eyed peas are the best I've ever put in my mouth and their batter for their fish is smack your mama good. This in conjunction with fair prices make this place a must eat destination.
What a great experience! We all have our insecurities about getting back out after quarantine. The staff of course took the recommended safety measures: masked and gloved: but you can "hear" hospitality, you don't need to see that smile to know its there. Thank you for that Crazy Cajun! Ohhhh and wait until you see their options for side dishes ! If I have to tell you to get the collard greens I will, but I shouldn't have to. Seriously though, its a well balanced menu with gluten free opportunities for the ones that need that.
While vacationing in Gulf Shores we read about Crazy Cajun (known for great chicken gumbo) I called to check on wait times or reservations. Family of 24.. I spoke with the owner. Cory was extremely nice..even tho they don't take reservations he told us he would accommodate of course we were at 4 separate tables which was fine. Wait time was minimal .servers were friendly accurate with all our orders and the food was great. Seasoned and cooked to EVERYONE'S liking. Cory walked around to each table making sure everyone was taken care of. . Its a fairly new restaurant 2yrs..but hoping it will be a staple in the area.
Tried the unicorn fish that was AMAZING, GREAT SERVICE and the prices were PHENOMENAL! Atmosphere was cozy and great people around us. Highly recommend
Cute place, nice waitress. Disappointed that my first choice wasn’t available. Ended up with the crab & shrimp quesadillas. It was real crab but the shrimp were a little tough. Other party got a burger and was happy with it. They’re known for their $3 Bushwackers which were very yummy but we doubted there was any alcohol in them. Food presentation was very good.
Great food and service! They had the best crab cakes ever! Fish was amazing! Can’t wait to go back.
What a wonderful place to eat! My wife and I stopped in here after being turned away at two other restaurants - and boy we're we IMPRESSED! Tiffany W. was our server and she was fantastic. Definitely our new go-to place to eat in Gulf Shores.
Food was absolutely amazing!! Everything tasted great. We will definitely go back next time we are down here on vacation.
Cute place. Price is good. Service was awesome! The foods flavor was excellent! The only reason why I gave it a 4 star was because the white rice was a little hard for me in my dish.
Appetizers were great, entrees not so much.. The service was GREAT! However the food was not impressive at all. $26 for a fillet that tasted like a hamburger :(
The food was absolutely amazing!! Best food we've had so far in Gulf Shores! Super friendly staff as well!!!
The food here is phenomenal ❤❤❤.. There were 6 adults in my group and we all loved our food. Prices are fair and the staff was great. Please try this place when going to Gulf Shores. You won't be disappointed.
Gluten free options clearly marked on menu. Good selection.
This place was more than five stars! Even during the pandemic, they were super friendly and very fast! We did not have to wait because we sat outside. Our waiter came right out and our food was delivered hot and fresh! I would come here again and again! My children were also pleased!!!
Everything here is amazing! The service was great and and the food was sooo good! The owner came out to greet us and that really means a lot these days! Our waitress Cheryl was the best! We will be back soon!!
Excellent food and service! Crab cakes were outstanding.
Male host was very rude and unhappy. Food was horrible. These people have no clue what Cajun food is. No seasoning. Definitely do not order the crab augratin. Waitress was clueless.
I had the hamburger and I know its hard to mess that up,but that being said it was one of the best I’ve ever eaten My wife had the shrimp and crab quesadilla which I would normally pass on but I tried it and it was also awesome.Good friendly service and was well taken care of.Even with just curb side it’s a great place to go eat!
Caleb and Tara were super helpful and friendly. They helped with recommendations and the service was efficient as well. Great teamwork and even better food. Will definitely be back. My husband recommends the black eyed peas and cornbread.
The food was ok, server didn't fill drinks promptly only checked on our party once the whole time, lied to our party about the daily special said they wasn't taking orders for it and another party came in and ask for the special and was served spoke to the manager he did not offer to make things right. Our meal was over 100.00 plus dollars and was tipped generously, if he had collected our money after we found out about his lies he would have not be tipped at all will never go back to this restaurant nor will I tell my friends but I will tell them the experience.
Great! Our waitress was very busy and forgot some of our request, but she was still wonderful. the food was very good. I wouldnhave given it 5 stars but it took almost 35 minutes for us to get our food after ordering.
Honestly, we came here for a week vacation from Iowa and this legit is the best homemade Cajun food! The Collard greens are authentic with a bite! The Etoufee is spot on and the sweet potatoes will curb your sweet tooth! The drinks were great and the service was top notch! If we are ever back in the area the Cajun place will be our go to! ❤️❤️❤️
Had the all you can eat shrimp it was fantastic! The highlight though was definitely the service. Our server was Kurtis and he was super helpful. He watched our plates and when we got low on shrimp he put in another order without even asking! On the way out he gave us a to go cup of our drinks. Haven't had that kind of service ever! Go here, you won't regret it.
Stopped in for a quick $5 bushwacker before a round of $5 golf in the tiki garden next door. The bartender was friendly and entertained us while we sipped. He recommended some of his favorite drinks and entrees as well as some other good places to visit during our stay. Bushwacker was yummy! 🍺
The fried sea food platter was great! Sides seemed a little over seasoned. Sweet potatoes were good!
Absolutely loved stopping here that we ate here twice during our short weekend trip. Food is delicious! Menu is clearly labeled with gluten-free options and there's a really great selection too! Staff made us feel at home. Going to make another trip to the coast just so the hubby can eat here!
We caught some pomp’s and took them to The Crazy Cajun in gulf shores to cook them, they where amazing!! A lot better than I can cook them!! 😂 We highly recommend taking your catch to them!! Very friendly staff and relaxing atmosphere!! We will be back!!
